Development Sketches and Final Idea

This is my final idea that I have design. I have used the idea from my inspiring sketches, contrasting to help design my final wallpapers. Also I have portrayed my precedent pieces into it. So these images have really helped to come up with a final design. I am happy with the final outcome.





Development Sketches - These are my development sketches that i drew to help develop more ideas for the final wallpapers. There are two ideas here showing contrasting and space. You can also see a large amount of my precedents developed within the wallpapers. I am not sure if I will use colour or not but I feel that black and white is the best option because its gives it the most effective look.

Progress on wallpapers

So, I have decided on my precedent images and I have also done some inspiring sketches to help develop ideas for my wallpapers. In my wallpapers I want to use space and contrasting like the last piece on my inspiring sketches. I feel that this idea is a little undeveloped, so I feel best to do more sketches to help me come up with my final design.

Development - inspiring sketches

Inspiring sketches - I drew these as inspiration pieces at the beginning of this project. This was to help me to develop a design for my wallpapers. The first sketch is a maori piece. This inspires me because its part of my heritage. The second piece I drew like a board game because board games are a good way to develop skills. I found this inspiring. The top sketch on the right inspires because it looks like a illusion but I have developed this idea from the ABC blocks that we used to play with as kids. Now the bottom one isnt of anything. I just really like the idea of space and contrast. I think both of these techniques brimgs out the most effective look in a design piece and I really want to put this into my four wallpapers.

Precedent Images

Image one - I really like this image with the way the circles have been put inside of the squares giving the design an effective look. I dont like the colors as much as im not too fond of the brown with the other chosen colours, I would like to portray this idea into my wallpapers,







Image Two -  I have used a a target as one of my precedent images because I like the contrasting and also this is something that I will be able to achieve in processing. I could really develop this idea into my wallpapers and even design it to a way i like it so its not like I'm copying a target.

Resubmission Project One - Wallpapers

I am resubmitting project one as I didnt achieve the level that I wanted to. So I am to design a set of four wall papers in processing using relevant coding. I am not good at coding but I will use it till my advantage.

Some Feedback from friends

Robert Kani: I really like the use of color as it is very appealing and eye catching. The way you described a while loop really makes sense and is easy to understand. The music is cool.

Renee Warner: I think its good and has explained the term while loops very efficiently. I like the idea that you did a stop motion video, it makes it more interesting to watch. The colors are eye catching, and the music just goes with it. Overall I think it explains the term while loops really well!

Overall Outcome

I am pleased with the outcome of my final piece as its shows what a while loop is and what it does. I am also pleased with my time management and how well I didn't go over my budget. What i wish i could have improved would be maybe edit a few parts of my exhibition piece. But overall I am happy with the outcome
