Yay - Progress

After following more tutorials that I discovered I was to make more balloons with out having to repeat myself in code. Also I was able to make them bounce of the walls. I created a class folder and also used an array list which I was having difficulty with earlier.   Unfortunately though I don't have the knowledge with changing the colour, so all the balloons have stayed red.

The next stage for me is making the balloons pop if they touch the bottom of the wall. Also make the balloons bounce off the cursor which i think i will find difficult. I will also have to add sound which I have ready. Al I need to know is how to put it into processing.

Having Trouble

Im having quite a bit of trouble trying to work out how to make an array and border my size so that balloons dont float down past the screen. I have got my sound ready but i cant add it until i have the balloons doing what I want them to do. I got my sound of youtube. It is of a balloon popping. Its sounds realistic and would work effectively with my design.

example of what im trying to do.

This is an example of what im wanting to do. Here is something i found where the raindrops are repeating and that is what I wanted to happen with my balloons. I tried looking through the code but still found it difficult to know what an array is and where it belongs.

What I have done so far - Progress

Here I have created five balloons that are falling down. Wow, Im not going to lie, this took a long time for me to figure out. I used these colours because they seemed to stand out the most and would be effective with alot more balloons. Im sure there would be an easier way in typing out the code. All i need to do now is make the balloons bounce off the cursor and pop if the balloon touches the bottom of the screen. I think I will find this very difficult as I really dont know how to do coding

Progress

Here I have made a balloon. I thought it was going to be difficult but it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was doing my coding the long way (ellispe, line, ellispe,line......) Until i realised there was no need for that and I could make everything easier for myself. I just had to put them into classes etc.

Exploring

Here I am just exploring open processing and looking at other coding that may have been to help for me. I was playing around with one code that i found very interesting. I changed it around and added my own style and came up with this.

Progress

This is just a screen shot of a ellipse falling. I found it quite difficult making the ellipse fall as it would drag the circle down. I then found out how to stop making it do this by adding in a background. This was to help myself in making the balloons fall down.

Inspirational Image

This is one of my inspirational images because I thought the idea of working with balloons would be a pretty cool idea. In a way balloons can be very entertaining, you can push them, pop them, make them squeak.  So this gave me the idea of  have an interactive balloon program where you can push the balloon with your cursor, and if you click and drag on the balloon it will simply pop. Or the aim could be keeping the balloons up by using your cursor and pushing them and if a balloon touches the bottom, it will pop. There are many ideas that would interest the viewers. My only problem I have in achieving this, is that I cant use processing to save myself. I might have to change my idea if this seems impossible.

Storyboard

Storyboard: My interactive program is called "Pop".
This when you have to drag the cursor across the page and the balloons that fall down will bounce off the cursor. When you click and drag on a balloon, its will "Pop". There is no points or anything, its just the fun of moving the cursor and popping the balloons.
